The Kiss is considered to be Gustav Klimt's most significant work of art - a world-renowned icon of love. It was created in the years 1907-1908, a time described as Klimt's golden phase. The distinct use of golden colours is probably one of the reasons for the unchanging popularity of this motif throughout the years.

In 1871, the company founded by Franz f. w. Goebel Shirley & and William Goebel. The porcelain factory is growing fast forward to a hefty factory with approximately 250 employees in 1890.

During the 19-century takes this family company various artists in service, each of which has its own design line.

This company, known mainly for its Hummel figures has an extensive collection of ornamental and collectors ‘ items.
