Here are some pictures of the bus trip to the Studio and museum of Hildegard Gunzel.
We were allowed to take a look at the place where the special dolls are made and where they get their final faces. The porcelain dolls with a layer of wax covering it are incredibly realisitic. They are like children covered in wax like you see at Madame Tussauds. Unbelievably real! Also the new series in Resin is magnificent. Hildegard Günzel is an artist who is incredibly diverse for example she not only makes dolls but also bears. Just like the dolls the bears regularly win prizes!
Many thanks Hildegard Günzel for welcoming us and being such a wonderful host. She fit in well with our group dynamic. For her it was a new experience also; she had never been visited by such a large group. But with a little addition of some extra tables and chairs everything worked out wonderfully.
