Family bovidae (cave horned) sheep (Ovis Orientalis Aries) have been domesticated by humans for, among other things, their wool. Sheep are ruminants. The male is called a ram, the female a ewe and the young a lamb. Sheep almost all over the world, but especially in Australia. This is by far the largest wool exporter. Sheep eat grass and herbs. Sheep can live to be between 15 and 20 years old, but in practice this rarely happens. As a sheep gets older, it becomes more difficult for him to eat. The gestation period for a lamb is about 147 days, with one lamb hatching at a time.
