Biography and History Elisabeth Lindner

In the center of Germany lies Detmold, this is where Elisabeth was born in 1951. With her love for dolls she managed to self teach herself the skill of doll making. In the mean time she has been making dolls for more than 21 years. Through this she has become very successful and well known. In Europe she has been seen at various exhibitions and has also won more than a couple of prizes. For Franklin Mint she made amongst others the Coca Cola ™ dolls. She also made casts for the company ‘Lison’ and represented this company successfully until 1997. From 1993 to 2002 her designs were made at the famous doll factory Götz. These vinyl dolls were immensely popular. A fun fact is that in this period she also produced big dolls of 100cm, this was quite unique. One of these ‘Janina’ won the prize “doll award of excellence”. For this special doll her 12 year old daughter had been the model. In 2003 Elisabeth started her own aterlier “dolls with Herz”. Here she could, on a smaller scale, give more of her own creativity to the dolls. Since then she has managed to already produce to very successful collections. At her presentation in Neurenberg she got a lot of praise, she has a very promising future.
