Biography and History Ellen Born

Ellen born is married with two daughters. Around 1990 she started making dolls. At first self hardening clay and later porcelain. She loves being busy with handwork and creating pieces of art. Patchworks and quilting are also some of Ellen’s hobbies. A couple of years ago the bear virus struck and since then she also makes bears. Just as it has started with most people this started with a small package from a shop. After that by falling of the horse and getting back on she successfully made patterns using beautiful materials like mohair and the filling from fiberfill and granulate. The special thing about her is that she keeps looking for a different theme. For example, she made a boy and girl bear which were very successful. The making of bears costs a lot of time which means her production is very limited but here at Hesemans you will always find at least a couple of her pieces.
