Cranked music box Hans is lucky

A culture of legends and fairy tales has always been deeply rooted in the Ore Mountains. With our fairy tale edition, we pick up a new motif to collect every year.

The edition also includes a small cranked music box with the motif of “Hans im Glück” and the melody “Oh, you dear Augustin”. Grimm’s fairy tale “Hans in Luck” tells of the young boy Hans who, after seven years of hard work, demands his wages and receives a lump of gold. On his way home he exchanges a riding horse for the gold nugget. Hans is full of joy and continues on his way. Later he exchanges the horse for a cow, the cow for a pig, the pig for a goose and the goose for a grindstone. Unfortunately, it is also quite heavy, and that’s why Hans is not at all unhappy when the heavy stone falls into a well for him. Hans finally arrives at his mother’s home completely unencumbered and is happy that he is lucky.

Our high-quality handheld game box consists of over 40 tiny parts made of wood. All figures are intricately hand-painted. The crank playing box is provided with a mechanical and durable SANKYO play mechanism. Here you have to lend a hand – the melody only sounds when you turn the crank.
