Solitaire is a game for one person. The most popular playing field is cross-shaped and starts with 32 stones in 33 fields.
Solitaire first appeared in 1687 on a portrait of Claude-Auguste Berey and was played in France on the court of King Louis XIV in the 17th century.
The goal is to jump with your piece over the one which is next to them, but it?s only allowed to jump horizontally and vertically. Diagonal jumps are not allowed.
In the end only one piece should be left, usually placed in the middle of the board.
