The company NIC has existed in its current form since 1991. Before that it was a small trade organization without their own production. In 1991 the family HertenBerger took over the company. Because of permanent developments from the production of then (mainly Creamobil cars and a multifunctional course) and after the purchase of the brand Cubio they managed to quickly reach their goal. Because of this the turnover could go from 850,000 German marks in 1992 to 4,200,000 German marks in 2000. Of course they also had a high starting loss. In 2003 NIC was given the opportunity to take over the company Bodo Hennig which made doll houses and accessories. For this the factory was expanded to cover 5000 square meters. In 2006 they got the opportunity to take over the company Walter. With this final addition they had the complete package for little kids. Our most important resources, beech and maple wood, have been coming from the “Tatra” mountain range in Slovakia for years. This prompted us to start our own subsidiary here in 2002 and to half manufacture here. Currently we have 25 co-workers in Slovakia and we also have 25 people working in Laupheim. Our firms philosophy is to create high quality toys. We allow our production to be checked by T.Ü.V in München and we pass the requirements for safety and quality. A lot of our articles are crowned with the distinction “Spiel Gut”.
